Ph.D. Scholarship for Ethiopian AgEcon Students at UHOH: CLIFOOD Phase II Project 1

CLIFOOD, the collaboration between University of Hohenheim and Hawassa
University, is starting into its second phase this year, offering  Ph.D.
Scholarships for Ethiopian (and other East African) students for the
period 2021-2024 (36 months).

For the CLIFOOD South-North Subproject 01, we, the Land Use Economics
group at the University of Hohenheim, are looking for a Ph.D. candidate
with an Agricultural Economic or Natural Resource Management background
to work on the topic:

Climate Change and Intergenerational Persistence of Poverty and
Malnutrition (in Ethiopia).

Experience in simulation modeling, ideally linear
programming or agent-based modeling, would be a strong asset for a
candidate.

Watershed Scientist Position at SFEI

  Dear Colleagues, The San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI) is seeking an entry to mid-level watershed scientist to join our Resilient Landscapes Program.  The successful candidate will work on applied science projects relating to watershed restoration, water and sediment management, and climate-change adaptation planning in the Bay Area and statewide. The candidate will help develop tools and quantitative approaches to inform regional and state-wide riverine ecosystem management decisions. GSA Marine & Coastal Geoscience Division seeking leadership candidates

The Marine and Coastal Geoscience Division of the Geological Society of America ( About Us - Marine and Coastal Geoscience Division (geosociety.org) ) is seeking candidates for the positions of First and Second Vice Chair. Both Vice Chair positions will participate in Division planning and decision making. Vice Chairs progress within the Division from Second Vice Chair to First Vice Chair next year and Chair the year afterward. With an additional year serving as Past Chair, this is a multi-year commitment to Division leadership.
