Dear all, We are seeking a postdoctoral scholar with an interest in the sustainability of coastal groundwater aquifers and substantial experience in groundwater system simulation and optimization. The post is part of an EPSRC-NSF funded project “CBET-EPSRC: Efficient Surrogate Modelling for Sustainable Management of Complex Seawater Intrusion-Impacted Aquifers”. The project is a collaboration between the University of Sheffield (UK), the University of Texas at El Paso (US), and the University of South Florida (US), with technical support provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The successful candidate will lead efforts in developing efficient groundwater modeling simulation and optimization frameworks for modeling seawater intrusion in response to sea level rise. The postdoc will be based at the University Sheffield. Highly desired computational skills include substantial modeling experience with groundwater modeling (MODFLOW, MT3D, SEAWAT, etc.), programmin...
