We’re hiring Earth and climate science MS/PhD/postdocs to join the Climate Analytics team at McKinsey & Company! This is a great opportunity to share insights about climate change and natural hazards with major business clients, while gaining experience with a wide range of natural hazards, data, and business problems. This is also a good path for researchers interested in shifting into consulting/data science roles.
Requirements include:
- Graduate degree (PhD/postdoc preferred) in a relevant field
- Ability to work with large, multi-dimensional data
- Python knowledge (basic software engineering knowledge preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work under competing, quickly-changing priorities
- Creativity, curiosity, and willingness to take intellectual risks
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (current work is remote due to COVID; 20-40% travel is likely in the future but not guaranteed)
